St. John's Food Pantry
The St. John Food Pantry has been serving the needy for over 20 years! We firmly believe and are guided by the words of Jesus in Matthew 25 Verse 40:
“'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.'”
Volunteers are always welcome to assist in the weekly food distribution. We can also use volunteers to help pickup and deliver food from the Peoria Food Bank, especially if you have a TRUCK and are willing to help unload items and carry them in to the pantry in the church basement.

Serving the needs of our geographical area, including Bartonville, Hanna City , Limestone Township , Norwood , Bellevue , Glasford, and the surrounding areas.
Distributing food to over 50 families a week during scheduled hours on Mondays
from noon to 2.
Collecting, sorting, and re-distributing wearable used clothing at our semi-annual “Money-less Garage Sales”.
Collecting, sorting, and re-distributing useable toys for children, especially at Christmas.
Hosting the St. John “Tiny Tim” toy distribution each Christmas, which provides new gifts for over 100 needy children.
Participating in the Spring Can-A-Thon to collect food in the greater Bartonville area. Our church usually receives over 3000 pounds of food from this effort.
Participating as an active member of the Peoria Area Anti-Hunger Coalition.
Serving as a registered “referral pantry” for many area social-service agencies, including Lutheran Social Services.
Providing education for our clients by hosting weekly classes provided by the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension Service .
