"When you consider what your legacy will be, you should also consider where it should be."
The St. John Lutheran Cemetery has been open since the late 1850's. Over the years, we have expanded to multiple fields, including standard graves with either flat or upright headstones, our Columbarium Niches, our Urn Garden, and our Veteran's Field. It is now our honor to open our beautiful cemetery to our community Lutheran churches so that members of our neighboring Lutheran churches may find a resting place closer to home.
We work diligently to provide a beautiful, maintained cemetery where family and friends feel welcome and at peace. We offer comfortable spaces, such as our covered gazebo, for visitors to relax and spend time.
Our cemetery boasts six acres of beautifully landscaped and maintained burial fields. We also have added a Columbarium; a wall with 24 cremation niches on each side, to hold single or double urns. Each niche is engraveable, personalized, and sealed.
We work with local funeral homes, vault and monument companies, and landscapers to ensure that your services are handled by a professional team. When you purchase your burial plot, we will coordinate all aspects of the funeral service and burial with all parties, eliminating that stress from your family. We will help with each step of your experience.
We have two areas to recognize members of our Armed Forces, and our cemetery is home to veterans of all wars.
The entire property is maintained throughout the year. We keep the cemetery tidy by mowing, planting, and seeding. We also handle snow removal so that our fields are easily reached in winter. We prepare the grounds for each season.
Our priority as a cemetery is to provide a dignified, beautiful resting place for our Lutheran brothers and sisters. Our Cemetery Board consists of men dedicated to the preservation of our beautiful grounds, to the dignity afforded to the clientele, and to the welcoming atmosphere our cemetery offers. We look foward to helping the families of loved ones find a suitable resting place.
